The BLUGH: November 2, 2022
“The vital function that pets fulfill in this world hasn’t been fully recognized. They keep millions of people sane. They have become Guardians of Being.”
Happy November! It’s Wednesday and the BLUGH is out. Let’s do this.
DOGS are on my mind! I woke up in a cold sweat the other night, shaken to my very core that I had gotten this deep into adulthood without owning a dog. While I don’t have a dog, I DO have a fantasy for how it will go down when I get a dog. Read on to see into my future.
When I am ready, I will go to Greenville County Animal Care and walk through and find a sweet angel dog meant for me. He or she will be at least 4, fully grown, kind of medium-sized, maybe even big. I think we will probably let this dog keep their name instead of renaming, depending on how long they have had their name. We will live in happiness for a few years and then I will get a puppy for this dog to raise. The puppy will be named Pookie and the older dog will teach Pookie how to be a good dog. Also, not sure how this is medically or scientifically possible but neither dog will ever die! Humane experiments will be performed on Older Dog and Pookie so science can better understand their immortality. This research will lead to a no more dogs dying ever (but also overpopulation will not be an issue). So that is me and my dogs!

PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION
This STUFF is miraculous if you have damaged or just less than ideally healthy nails. It CURES your nails. Fun fact: Googling “before and after sick fingernails“ looking for a pic for your newsletter is is very dangerous. Don’t do it. Also important to note that dogs love it when their owners have healthy nails.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION
The Remains of the Day is lovely and I found it comforting though it isn’t what I would call a happy book. My friend, Naomi, described this book best when she said it was an onion with layer after layer to peel back to reveal more. I’d say this is a very cozy (but EMOTIONAL!) book for the end of fall/beginning of winter. The book’s only fault is there are no dogs.

He used to love to nap in the shower to stay cool. Until he died and went to live in ✨Dog Heaven✨
